Hi, I’m Tamala
This is my journey to become Home Baker and Cookie Artist.
I have always loved using my hands to create things that I can share with family and friends. Over the years, I have enjoyed sewing, quilting, needlepoint, cooking, canning, baking and cake decorating. I began cake decorating when my boys started school and was known as the “cake lady” by the children in our small town. I was able to improve and advanced up to creating beautiful wedding, birthday, anniversary and other specialty cakes.
As my business grew, it became more time consuming, stressful, and hard to manage while raising my kids and working a full time job. Also, it was very hard on my hands. It was a sad day when I made the decision to stop decorating cakes.
As time went by, my life changed many times. My boys have grown into wonderful young men with families of their own. In 2010, I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer and am grateful to be a Survivor.
I met my husband, Les, in 2011 and we married six months later. We hunt, fish, garden, and process all of our deer meat by smoking links and making jerky or by grinding it into fantastic pan sausages.
I still love creative hobbies, especially baking and cooking, and I love sharing with others. I started decorating cookies in 2014 and I fell in love with it. The royal icing is so different than the butter cream I used when decorating specialty cakes. It has taken me two years to perfect my cookie and icing recipes. Les has been a good sport and lovingly served as my taste tester through numerous recipe revisions. He is always willing to try a hot cookie from the oven!
My sweet Les saw me struggling to consistently roll the cookie dough to the exact thickness I wanted, and he came to my rescue! He created a dough board that allows me to roll the perfect thickness every time!! Once my cookie friends found out about it, they started calling and now he can’t make them fast enough.

I am having the time of my life learning to be a Home Baker and Cookie Artist and am so proud to say that after many years I found my two true loves: My Sweet Les and Cookies!
Be Blessed and a Blessing !
