We need to invent a way for you to smell just how wonderful these are. I used Teri Wood’s recipe and it is outstanding. ( You can find it here:Teri-Pringle Wood Keepsake Cookies )
After the dough was room temperature I kneaded it till it was every smooth and not sticky. I think that is beautiful. 😊
Putting braid around a cookie isn’t as easy as I thought it would be. It’s hard to roll the rope even and then to make 3 strands the same even size is Really hard… I’ll have to practice on this trick! I managed to do a twist on two and one rope around the rest and used a fork to make a pattern, just like you do on a pie crust. I think it looks okay and hides some seams.
They didn’t spread very much and I am very happy with them. I brushed an egg wash on them when they first came out of the oven. 1 whole egg with 1 tsp water. It made them very shinny.
These snow flakes are going to be great to decorate and there’s my favorite Santa!!
Love the edges of these. I don’t feel like I have to cover it all up. The egg wash is what made them shine!
Look how cute these guys are. Santa and his Elf with a pretty Bell. They measure about 5 x 4.
Oh My Santa!!! The edges are so smooth and purdy!! Gorgeous. I can do a lot with this big bell. Turn it upside down and it’s a tulip or rose!!
